FOUNDER

Tsuyoshi “Yoshi” Ohtomo

Tsuyoshi “Yoshi” Ohtomo

Based in Kamakura, I graduated from Tohoku FukushiUniversity and studied Computer Science at Grossmont Community College in San Diego. I worked at Mitsui & Co.'s Yangon office in Myanmar, supporting my father’s seafood business while gaining expertise in trade and negotiation.
After returning to Japan, I spent six years designing promotional items for the Rakuten Eagles. In 2010, I introduced açaí to Japan, pioneering the market and promoting healthy lifestyles. Inspired by plant-based almond milk during a 2015 U.S. visit, I introduced it to Japan’s coffee scene, followed by UK-based Minor Figures oat milk in 2019.
In 2018, I discovered plant-based meat at EXPO WEST, sparking the idea of creating products with Japan’s refined taste and craftsmanship. This led to the launch of my plant-based brand, Meatless Future, in 2021. Today, I aim to share Japanese food culture globally and build a sustainable future through plant-based innovation.
